Thank for the advice Jeffw, I had considered upgrading to a sports cat but I'm a bit isolated and my mechanic is a bit old school sadly.

Replacement CAT help for a 2009 2.0 tsi
I've got to replace the cat on my Rocco (injectors got stuck open and emptied a full tank of fuel through it and now it won't pass emissions test on mot) obviously a new one is silly money, having trouble finding a second hand one from a Scirocco, can anyone tell me which equivalent golf model used ...
