Re: Exhaust fumes in the cabin

I think I would be causing a very BIG fuss over this one. If they agree there is something wrong they should be looking at straight away. Courtesy car should be free with a realistic excess of £400 ish. Tell them you are going to the loal paper (then national) with the headline gassed by VW Scirocco...

Re: Grinding rear brakes?

Mine do it after 6K, really annoying Been back to the dealers and they said its a buld up up brake dust and advised me to do some heavy braking (but not on a busy road :shake: ) I think the brakes are very sensitive (1.4) which deters from heavy braking and I do a lot of round town driving. There wa...

Re: Tyre prices for 18" GT

The reason I queried it in the first place is because I have an old camper van.....I have been involved in many a discussion about tyres sizes and load weights, laden and unladen vans, skinny tyres, fat tyres, you name it... In short, a 91 load rating is more than enough for a scirocco and not dange...

Re: Tyre prices for 18" GT

Richio: I dont think the Avon ZZ3s are suitable for the Scirocco. They come with a load rating of 91, and the Scirocco needs 93 minimum. Putting on an unsuitable tyre (speed or load rating inadequate) could (and probably would, if they had a get-out clause) invalidate your insurance if you crashed ...

Re: 1.4 TFSI or 2.0TSI?

good reply littleyellow... I think the thing is that with the 1.4 you can spec it how you like, not having climate control, MFSW and fogs will save you the best part of a grand. The other thing to consider is that the power from a 2.0 may be just too much for some drivers who are comfortable with so...

Re: 1.4 TFSI or 2.0TSI?

you can spec a 1.4 to GT spec. Think the main difference is the climate control, fog lights and rear tints......heres my 1.4...spot the difference? My options where. 18's wheels, sunroof, rear tints, winter pack, cruise control http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y183/richio/rocco033.jpg http://i5.phot...

Re: 1.4 TFSI or 2.0TSI?

I test drove the 1.4 and 2.0, went for the 1.4 in the end even though my previous car was a 2.5 litre BMW. The 1.4 has plenty of pace, although side by side you notice the power increase for the 2.0 litre, but when do you really get to use it!! I have the odd moment when I think I should have gone f...
