Mines back to square 1 running lumpy and jerky between gear changes and terrible in traffic. I have no I dea what to do. All I can say that it is the worst car iv owned and i have had alot! Been to vw numerous times and they say there is nothing wrong with it. Thier latest excuse is that it's becaus...

can 97 ron be causing all my problems.
Hi all I have posted a few times about the rough jerky running of my vw scirocco. I decided for the first time to put standard unleaded in from shell not for any particular reason and to my amazement the rough running has pretty much vanished. I tried some high octane, tesco momentum and back to squ...

Re: where did all the decent VWS go?
I do want it fixed and I'm not prepared to pay a penny for plugs, cleaning carbon out, coil packs or having somone fault find ad its not 2 years old and is under warranty. I have attempted to do something by sending it in to vw 3 times. Clearly they are as competent as thier cars, i.e not very. When...

Re: where did all the decent VWS go?
Why should I pay more money and investigate issues on a 1.5 yr old car that as done very low mileage? It's still under its vw warranty. It's totally unacceptable. No car should do this less so a vw. I don't see why I should pay money to fix a car that should not be broken. I have investigated the ca...

Re: where did all the decent VWS go?
Well I thought vw's were decent cars but I can say they both are honestly the worst cars i/we have had. Build quality does feel sold but it's just not what a vw is supposed to be. My 7 year old ibiza had no rattles at all! These both are like a maraca. I can live with rattles but constant jerking an...

where did all the decent VWS go?
I'm just posting my frustrations. I have a 63 plate rline 2.0tsi and the other car in my household is a brand new 14.tsi scorocco 15 plate and I have to say they are rubbish! My rline has a stuttering, jerky, lumpy engine and has only covered 27k. Worst at very slow speeds and between 1000 - 2000 rp...

Re: Rough running.
My 2.0 tsi r line has only 27000 miles and runs like crap. Lumpy, very jerky at low revs and in traffic, staggered acceleration, its been to vw twice and because the computer says no they don't want to know. I love the car but am so fed up with it I'm thinking of selling as it's pathetic having to g...

remapping options?
Hi guys im just after a bit of advice, I would like to get my 2013 2.0 tsi rline remapped to around 250/260 mark that alot of tuning companies claim to be able to do. Iv never had a remap done and was wondering if you need to change anything else or can they just do the remap? Also will it damage th...

Re: not feeling the vw quality experience! help.
OK thanks guys. I love the car and will work to improve it as it's not always bad and is generally a fantastic car and a real head turner as it's in perfect condition. What does it mean on some days when the exhaust note seems boomy and loud and other days it's quieter and more refined?

Re: not feeling the vw quality experience! help.
OK that's great thanks for the advice, I will ask them to do all those things and put in some new plugs. At higher revs and speed it's a fantastic car. Strange thing was yesterday I gave it a good 20 minute blasting down my local a road and gave the engine a good workout once oil was up to 90 degs a...

Re: not feeling the vw quality experience! help.
Idle is generally very smooth. When VW had it they said the tick over was too low and the ecu needed an update which they apparently did. They say if thier diagnostic equipment doesn't show a fault there's not much they can do. I think it's pathetic as anyone can plug in a computer, what ever happen...

not feeling the vw quality experience! help.
Hi everyone. I have a 63 plate 2.0 tsi r line 26000 miles, 1 owner full vw service history. Iv had it since March and was happy with it but slowly iv become disgruntled towards it and I must say not impressed with vw at all. The main issue I'm experiencing is what feels like throttle body issues to ...
