Hello
Do you not have the original SD card that came with your Sat-Nav ?
Yes, back it up first and then download the new data onto it..
Yes, its a fiddley job - but it works - and you will not have to purchase a new card.
Regards
Jeff

Re: Updating the Discover system satnav from the web.
Hi This is the second time I have added to this thread. I have no idea why it is that VW make it so complex simply to update their Satnav (I have Discover - NOT Pro) However, since my last post -the system has changed. The updates are free for the warranty period (three years) thereafter you will ne...

Re: Rust on the inside of the trunk.
Hello I see one other has listed the same problem (Mr OCD) - but I am sure that there were SEVERAL owners whose car's were subject to the issue. My car was registered on the 1st July 2009 (model year ten as it was fitted with the new steering wheel) - and it will be interesting to establish if all t...

Re: Rust on the inside of the trunk.
Rust This is an identical problem that I posted on this forum - see my comment dated 14th May 2011 - with photographs. (post headed RUST! ) Warning - VW had it repaired under warranty - but it was back within a couple of months. I am also sure that several others posted this similar problem. Regards...

Re: Navigation Map Issues
Hi Pity VW cant just make maps updates as easy as TomTom ! Use the attached links to download the latest map onto the SD card ....the latest map in only a few weeks old. ( I have the discovery - not the Pro - but with this link they are catered for both) Make sure that you have a fast internet conne...

Re: Rusty screw on inside of door
I had the same problem with my first Scirocco - removed the screw and gave a blast of WD40 - as there was a small quantity of rust ! The screw itself was cleaned (with WD40) and replaced - but my worry was that I could not see into the actual door panel - so had no idea just how much rust was there....

VW Load Liner:
Had one in my last Scirocco - and saved the day when a bottle of red wine broke !... Glass & red wine everywhere.
Have one in my new Scirocco - just in case.
Well worth the cost.....

Re: Tyre pressure monitor problem
Would be a great help to know if you fixed the problem - as I have the same issue.
Tried all combinations of ignition off - on etc.
Checked all tyre pressures - all as should be.
Many thanks
Jeff

Hi I think you will find that my car was the first on this forum to report rust on the tailgate- May 14th 2011 (with photographs) The car model year ten (July 2009) As can be read above (post Saturday the 28th May 2016) – the repair was carried out – but the rust returned within months ! – requiring...

Very little information on Car Net within the index - does that mean that it is of little use ?
How many members have it and can someone give an opinion.
Many thanks

Re: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyre - 2 types
Hi Graham… Yes, the ones I bought are the correct tyre for the Scirocco – the chap at Camskill was very good and warned if the wrong tyres (FO – Ford only) were fitted – then it could cause a problem with an insurance claim. They are simply not designed for any other rim other than Ford. This confir...

Re: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyre - 2 types
Hi atce
Yes, my MOT looms at the end of June – hence prompting new tyres to the front.
Always a bit of a gamble when changing from one make to another. To be fair to the Pirelli’s – they have worn well – but are quite noisy.
The price you quote is as expected.
Many Thanks
Jeff

Re: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyre - 2 types
Hello Atce.. I am looking to replace my two front tyres – currently Pirelli P Zero’s. Have researched the various tyre tests etc and have decided to buy the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric – So, would be most interested to hear if you bought/fitted these tyres – and your comments - including cost.
