Yes the car has been scanned and nothing has come up, yes I do have a diesel. In terms of the rev counter I did notice the other day it was sitting at 1000rpm however that was when it was cold, I have just checked and its now sitting at 750rpm

Hi All, In the week I received a letter from VW to say my is effected by the emission issue and they would contact me soon to get this issue fixed. I am wondering if anyone else has been effected by this and also if people like myself who have been effected by this would be able to claim compensation?

My car now start absolutely fine without any issues, and I haven't had any issues with it over the past few days now. I stuck in two minds whether to go to the scirocco garage to get it checked or wait to see if it does play up again. Could it of been a loose connection on the battery maybe?
