Hi all I’ve developed the dreaded rattle on start up and have to get a cam chain tensioner. After reading a few posts here I think I may need the entire kit which includes the tensioner and wondered firstly if that’s correct and If so, does anyone here sell the kit or can direct me to a good oem kit...

I did check the fuses and they were all good, as were the battery connections, but stupidly didnt check to the starter, but shes gone to the local mechanic now as he had a spare few hours, but will post what he finds incase its of use to anyone else who may have a simil...

I should also ask if there's anything I need to be aware of once I do get the hub removed. Is it a simple case of out with the old, in with the new, or am I heading for troublesome times?

Its still pretty stiff but won't tighten all the way, it just keeps turning? As I said I know very little about cars.

Sorry for what is probably a stupid question, but are parts (hubs in my case) interchangeable? I've found a few sciroccos that are being broken, but they're 2.0 litre.
