On to better things!
Afternoon chaps! Had my scirocco for just under 3 years and fancied a swap so I sold her to a fellow forum user (at least I know it's getting looked after) But just wanted to say thank you for the help I've been given off the forum. It's a bloody good forum and doesn't appear to be many vehicle spec...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Finally installed new rear brake discs and pads to go with my fronts. Rears were a lot easier than the front - got brembos all round now http://i1333.photobucket.com/albums/w639/dimexi/99EDFAE4-AD51-4AF3-9565-32A8C4BDB2FA_zpstnekebkf.jpg Of course I punctured the dust cover for the hub screw :shake...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
So today I changed the plates back onto its original registration ready for its new owner to collect it next Saturday. Last time out of the garage tomorrow to give it a good bath, then she goes on Saturday! Enjoyed owning and driving it but it's time for an upgrade! Keep up the good work on the foru...

Re: What's it worth???
Thanks all, I think I'll advertise it for £12000 and at least I've got a bit to play with. I went for a test drive in a RS4 B8 at the weekend, by heck! They are bloody good to drive and sounds awesome! I know what you're saying with the leg room in the back but it should be a few years before little...

Re: What's it worth???
Am I reading that correctly, only 12,500 miles on an 09? :eyepop: I thought mine was low, mine is an 09 but on 27K. Despite that ultra low mileage I still think £10-12K is very optimistic. Assume you would sell privately but in the current market will probably only realise £8,500 - £10K. For a PX a...

What's it worth???
Evening all, The time has come to upgrade the rocco to something more sensible for a family, currently looking at 14 plate rs4! But have no idea what mine is worth due to its spec and mileage. It's a 2009 2.0tsi fully loaded with 12500 miles on it. I'm thinking in the region of 10-12k mark. What's e...

I'd contact a local turbo specialist/reburb place and see if they can source oneJames1991 wrote:I know a bit of a thread resurrection but my Scirocco has just gone into my local garage and have been told the same thing. Any help would be appreciated

Re: Bloody hard water leaving water marks on the paint!
Usually washing the car out of direct sun will limit the problems. I've only ever had any issues when it was about 30 degrees and we were washing an un-waxed Mustang and ended up having to machine polish the whole car (very quickly with a very light compound) to remove them. Assuming the car is wax...

Don't worry I won't, wouldn't work for the pressure washer. I'm thinking I need a filter for the mainsPhil wrote:Please dont do this, quick way to spoil your paintwork - sorry RoyRoy_01 wrote:Go to a car wash where they have demineralised water. Or buy some.

Re: Bloody hard water leaving water marks on the paint!
Move... I remember seeing a filter thing a few years ago you attached to a hose and you used it to rinse the car off to prevent this. I can't remember the brand name but it was on sale in Halfords. Check detailingworld as I'm sure the issue has arisen before for the OCD types. Haha good advice Bob,...

Bloody hard water leaving water marks on the paint!
Morning all, Recently moved into my house, washed the rocco for the first time the other day and noticed no matter how quick I dried it. It was covered in white water marks. Turns out I live in a hard water place! Bloody limescale! Has anyone any tips on softening the water? Heard of using white vin...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Gave her a service, did oil and filter, air, pollen and fuel filter. Didn't bother with the plugs as it's only done 4k since its last full service. And considering its had 6 sets of plugs over 5k miles I didn't see the point! Used all genuine parts including oil. Also tried to do a few VCDS tweaks w...

Looking at the Rocco. I said yes!
He said very nice car! I love those!
First stranger that had voiced that they love the Rocco!
All I did was open her up for a change!
