Re: Should I reset service indicator
Thanks for the reply. I think I'll ring up the dealer and see what exactly they did, see if I can get proof that they replaced the DSG oil and filter if they actually did it. The annoying thing about getting it serviced now is that it'll be out of sync with the MOT because I've always done both at t...

Should I reset service indicator
Hi, I bought my 2010 scirocco in August (absolutely loving it) and have just had a service required notification popping up on the MFD. When I bought it the salesman said it had been serviced, MOTed and gone through their usual used car checks. I did remember checking the service book and saw the st...

Re: Automatic climate control air conditioning
Great, thanks for explaining that. So as long as it's cold enough outside the clutch will remain disengaged (therefore I assume not using any enginepower) but will continue to reduce the humidity etc.; then when it needs to cool the air further (e.g. summer) the clutch will engage and the compressor...

Re: Automatic climate control air conditioning
Thanks for the response Bill. Does it still run continuously even if the outside temperature is colder than the cabin temperature setting? Just read somewhere that other systems, e.g. the ford climate control system, turns on the aircon intermittently when it is cold outside just to reduce the humid...

Automatic climate control air conditioning
Hi, just a quick question, as a I can't find the answer anywhere. When in automatic climate control does the air conditioning switch off automatically when the interior is at the set temperature or does it just mix the cold air and hot air to reach the temperature? Just thinking about it in terms of...

Re: Footwell lights
So I went with the ones on ebay...wish I hadn't... They arrived but come with a converter cable thing (you can see it in the picture for the product on the ebay listing) but it doesn't seem to connect to the car cable >_< Looks like the two metal prongs coming out of the converter cable are too wide...

Re: Foot well lights
Thanks for your help. I read somewhere that if you untick the footwell light box in the MFD they only come on when you open the door and go off when you start the ignition, is this correct? Would mean that if I get annoyed with them being on constantly I can still use them for the assistance of gett...

Footwell lights
Hi, I received my new used scirocco on Friday from Volkswagen Huddersfield and am more than pleased with it. A very small but niggling disappointment is that the foot well lights are missing! I'm guessing the previous owner got fed up with them being on all the time and decided to remove them. So I ...
