Re: potholes!!

Yeah I am going to chase it up with the council as it was on a main A road when it happened. It's just finding the time to collect all the evidence and stuff :/ I will get round to doing it at some point though as I'm guessing a new alloy won't be cheap. So thanks for that link I'm sure it will com...

Re: My Latest Scirocco this time an R

If petrol was cheaper, that is the car I would have bought. I know its never been cheaper at present but the expense and pain of running a car like that would outweigh the looks and thrill factor. Enjoy it, very pleased for you. Never actually driven an R but would love a go sometime.

Re: My Latest Scirocco this time an R

I have the same colour R-line TDI, beautiful colour, not seen many around in Dark Midnight blue and I have never seen an R in that colour. Love the wheels as well, really suit that colour car. Look after it and it will look after you.

Re: Where do you usually fill your Rocco up?

BP Ultimate or Shell V-Power, never used anything else in my diesels, I personally think it makes a difference as I have used normal diesel but everyone has different opinions on this one. Use what you prefer, its your choice at the end of the day.

Re: Buying gt tdi 170

I have a TDI 177 2013 plate with 9000 miles on it, I bought it with 3000 miles on it. Its dark midnight blue, an R-line as well. Its economical and powerful and the best car I have ever owned. It looks the dogs danglers. It came with Pirelli P1 zeros but it now wears Goodyear Assymetric F1s, just a ...

I've found the Blue and Green are best.

HOWEVER, I do like a dark grey. It's the only tinge of the drab colours I like and the Indium (IIRC) is gorgeous.

I have a dark Midnight Blue R-Line TDI and I have not seen another on the road in that colour.

Re: GT 170. MPG

My commute is 60 miles either way and I don't stuck in too much stop start driving. Quite a few timnes I've seen just over 70mpg on the MFD It drops into the 40s if I'm driving about town. I do have a very smooth driving sstyle though so that helps a lot. reinforced by the fact that I'm still on th...

Re: suspension setting

I have a TDI r-line and drive most of the time in Comfort mode, the chassis does roll a little bit more but not as you describe. In sports mode it doesn't move and is very taught. I have the standard car with 19 inch alloys and Goodyear F1 asymmetric all round. To be honest I have no handling proble...

Re: Why do you need wide tires?

I bought brand new r and it's on 19" with bridgestone tyres and my god is it noisy, especially at motorway speeds. Grip in the dry is good but as soon as it gets a bit wet they have no grip at all, I am mister unimpressed and as soon they get worn I'm swapping them for goodyear f1 assymetric 2...
