Re: Speedo Needle Wobble Help
The Speedo needle on my Scirocco has a slight wobble at motorway speeds, it's always done it. Nothing to worry about I'd say!

Re: Automatic Wipers - Disable using VCDS
V5pdt - open controller 9, select the drop down box then select option 2. Select coding helper then tick the box "rain sensor inactive" now your wipers work intermittently and the time delay can be adjusted using the switch on the stalk. So glad I found this out, the automatic wipers were ...

Re: Automatic Wipers - Relay??
I finally managed to disable the rain sensor using VCDS without affecting the light sensor, if anyone wants to do the same I'll post how to do it

Re: My Sumatra Scirocco
Thanks for the comments guys. Boy, the red line on the grill is just 6mm vinyl strip. I think it sets the front of the car off, its a bit plain looking without it

Re: Automatic Wipers - Relay??
Thanks Salsajoe. If I can't disable the auto wipers then I will try adjusting the sensitivity and see how I get on. I don't ever use the auto setting for the lights either, two things I think aren't worth having in my opinion.

Automatic Wipers - Relay??
The automatic wipers on my Scirocco are rubbish, they either wipe too fast and smear the screen in moderate rain or not often enough. Recently they've started doing a double wipe when it's raining lightly which does my head in. I've been looking to see if it's possible to disable the rain sensor and...

My Sumatra Scirocco
I've been a member for a wee while now so thought it was about time I put a photo up.... http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n296/st3view/IMAG0455_zps563ce637.jpg The car is more or less totally original, 2.0 manual. I always had Hondas before but I'm really happy with my scirocco. Its a better all r...

Re: My Dark grey rocco!
Nice car! Its Sumatra grey. Quite a rare colour. I have the same car but manual and I've only seen one other around my area this colour. I keep thinking about debadging mine but can't make my mind up....
Re: Oil light
Salsajoe what year is your car? I've looked on another forum and apparently the oil light doesn't illuminate at all, if there's a problem with oil pressure it shows up on the MFD. Seems daft to me, if the light comes on then goes out when the car starts you at least know everythings fine
Oil light
The oil light on my 2.0tsi doesn't come on with the rest of the dash lights when I switch on the ignition, is this normal? I looked for it coming on when starting the car after an oil change but it doesn't light up at all

Re: My 2.0 GT TSi On Eibach
I thought it was just the H+R springs that had the different axle loads, I also bought the eibachs from Germany for my manual tsi, I'm sure on the eibach website it said they're rated to 1050kg. Either way they're ffitted now and the car is driving/looking way better!

Are you sure Andy? I bought these springs for my car and I'm sure they're rated to 1050kg front axle load?

Re: Best tyres for Scirocco
I changed my rear continentals for hankooks and they totally changed the feel of the car for the worse. Back end feels so much looser now, especially during faster cornering and lane changes etc
