Re: First cleaning/detailing report
The car looks great Mr. Bojangles and the write up is excellent! With the pre-wax cleanser, it sounds like you were putting too much on and the panels were too hot... you shouldn't be getting dry streaks as soon as you put it on, which suggests the panel was too hot, and you shouldn't be getting any...

Re: Swirl Marks
Hi SpannerMan, You can get rid of swirl marks by hand, however, it's not a quick and easy way of carrying out paintwork correction, as it takes a lot longer to get results and requires much more elbow grease than if you were using a machine. It also depends on how badly swirled the paintwork is. If ...

Autoperfection Holiday: Monday 16th - Friday 20th
We have posted this up in our sponsor section, but as most of our interaction takes place in this section we thought we'd just pop it in here as well, just to make sure it gets seen! :D ... Hi Guys and Girls, We just thought we'd let you all know that we've got some holiday planned... it's our littl...

Re: Cleaning the cleaning stuff
If you can't loosen them out with your finger nails or by scraping the wash pad across the grit guard, it means they're fairly well tucked into the fibres, so the chances of them doing any damage should be minimal. I'd probably aim to wash the wash pad in the washing machine around once every three ...

Re: Cleaning the cleaning stuff
Hi Grampa, Pleased to hear you're still getting on well with the products and that you're happy with your cleaning regime! With regards to cleaning the cleaning stuff, what you're doing is absolutely fine... the microfibres are fine to go in the washing machine and you won't do them any harm (just a...

Re: Rim Wax
Hi Ian, In our opinion, it's definitely well worth putting either a dedicated wheel wax or sealant on the wheels... not only does it help to keep them nice and shiney, but it will also help to reduce the build up of road grime and muck, as well as helping to repel things like brake dust and tar, whi...

Free Shipping is back at Autoperfection
Hi Guys, We had minor some cost issues with our courier company for a while, so free shipping was taken off the shop... but after some serious negotiation (and stamping of feet) we've managed to get the rates back to where they need to be, so free shipping to UK Mainland is back on the shop! ...

Re: Proposed cleaning regime – feedback appreciated
Trix - Ha, yeah, on reflection I think I may be a little ambitious. The foam pre wash with pressure washer is going to be the fun part, so it's just making the rest fun as well. I'll just have to see which stage I find most labouring and try and be positive about it. There may be reductions if I ke...

Re: Proposed cleaning regime – feedback appreciated
Hi Bo Jangles, I’ve just typed this all out once and lost it just before I went to hit “Submit”... argh!!! Here goes for a second time!!! :) The regime you’ve got planned looks great and very in-depth! We would probably just make a couple of alterations if it were us, but to be honest if you w...

Re: My options....
Hi Searchin, We would have to echo what's already been said (and not just because we'd rather you bought products from us rather than the dealership ;) )... mainly because you can control the results that are achieved a lot better if you're applying the products yourself and also as you have already...

Re: Best wax for Rising blue?
I'm using Lusso Oro Wax on mine at the mo. Find it very nice actually, but maybe doesn't give that deep a shine as some other waxes like the Valentines Still i love the smell of the Oro when applying it. :) Hi, Have you tried pre-waxing the car with Lusso Revitalising Creme before applying two or t...

Edit: just received the FK1000 from autoperfection (thumbs up on the packing & recycling going on there!) and looking forward to treating my car to it tomorrow! Thanks! :) We try our best to reuse and recycle boxes where-ever possible, but it does mean that some people get some rather random bo...

Re: Snow foam?
Hi Fun Meter, Thanks for posting up a picture - you're right... the foam you're getting out of your lance definitely isn't the same as the foam you should be getting. I think the best thing to do is send it back to us so that we can have a look at it for you and if needs be, replace it for you. Let ...

Re: Auto Glym products
Hi Grampa, I've spoken to Jim about this and he said that it is an issue we've had once before, the only problem is Jim can't replicate it to fix it, as we don't have a Mac. I know he's looking into a way round it because it's obviously something that needs fixing. For the minute though, I think the...

Re: Auto Glym products
Hi Grampa, If we were to pick out one product for each of the stages you've picked out, these would be our suggestions: Wash - Lusso Auto Bathe. This shampoo is a pH neutral shampoo that is incredibly lubricious, smells delicious and has an excellent dilution ratio so is great value for money. The D...

Re: Auto Glym products
Hi Montimon, We'd have to ask the same question as Ian Mac... is there a specific reason you're looking at AutoGlym? If it's because you've used the products before and you like them, there fair do's, but in our opinion there are a lot better products available that are easier to use and do much bet...
