Re: SCIROCCO WATCH

I tend to find interest in cars is inversely related to getting laid.

I happen to like my car rather a lot. I do my best to pretend not to in female company - that watch would rather give the game.

That looks like a sure-fire way to never get laid ever again.

Re: Company Car: Calculating my 'break-even' MPG..

Are you sure? Even as an employee given a company car?

How do I go about doing this?

Thanks

Re: Company Car: Calculating my 'break-even' MPG..

On the plus side, I thought my tax was £1200 a year.. Just found that as my base salary is under £35k, I get 20% tax which is £65/month. So £780 tax + £770 in lost fuel = £1,550 a year. The only other figure on top is my personal fuel. That's still fairly good value compared to buying and running my...

Re: Company Car: Calculating my 'break-even' MPG..

Most of my colleagues do around 20k miles a year, which will therefore be me too! The reimbursement for 1400-2000CC cars is 15p per mile; which means a break-even point of 40mpg - perfect (driving very conservatively in light traffic I can get 35-40mpg) It is SO obvious that the issue is relying on ...

Company Car: Calculating my 'break-even' MPG..

Hi, I recently took collection of a 1.4 TSI Scirocco in Candy White with tinted windows and the new 17"s.. Absolutely delighted with it and get a lot of compliments; my only concern is its efficiency. Specifically, the new breed of TSI engines (across many of the German cars on our list) which ...

Re: RNS 315 Really buggy with my iPod Classic?

My Scirocco arrived at my house on the 18th October. I presume it landed in the UK a few days earlier?

So I should be up to date? How can I check my version?

Today it behaved well..

RNS 315 Really buggy with my iPod Classic?

Hi, I am enjoying my new Scirocco very much - with one niggle. The sound system is solid and well-featured, although I find the menu system pretty clunky for navigating through my iPod Classic 160Gb. More importantly, it's pretty buggy. Examples include: - Skipping between tracks, sometimes it will ...

Re: Scirocco + Snowboards?

To confirm, the Scirocco fits a Da Kine Low Roller snowboard bag, with a 156cm snowboard (plus bindings and boots) inside, across the rear seats. Knocked the passenger seat forwards; shoved it diagonally across the rear seats and pushed the passenger seat back. Leaves you with one passenger (in the ...

Re: Scirocco + Snowboards?

I'm confident I can fit boards in with the seats down.

The point is that my boot's usually packed with sports gear; and I go snowboarding each week, so emptying the boot is a no-go.

If my boards don't go across the back seats, then it'll be a roof rack for me!

Haha, well the fact we find each other's choice of car colour equally revolting is what makes the world a more varied and interesting place.

Re: Orange Rocco

This makes me think exactly the same thing as when I see Viper Green, 'Someone likes playing with Hot Wheels cars'.

I'm guessing the owner has a tribal tattoo up one arm and a girlfriend with spray-on tan?

Re: Scirocco + Snowboards?

Focus was comfortable; A3 requires a hearty shove - so I will be surprised if the Scirocco takes them.

Debate then, will be whether I empty my boot at least once a week or buy a roof rack.

Re: Scirocco + Snowboards?

Moreover, most snowboard boots are decent all-rounders. As long as they're comfortable you should be good for park/all-mountain. Only if you wanted racing boots (very hard) perhaps you'd need something else. So definitely sensible to hold off on a board. I got jacket, salopettes and helmet then did ...

Scirocco + Snowboards?

Hi, I currently own an Audi A3 and previously a Ford Focus, both of which can take my snowboard bag diagonally across the rear seats (one end in the foot-well, up to the opposite top corner). My Scirocco arrives next month and I'm curious as to whether it can take snowboards in the same fashion? My ...

Nice. Looks like mine are virtually identical I think? (albeit perhaps a longer delivery time!)

And I think they look better than the official ones!

Re: Relatively cheap Scirocco accessories for company car?

eBay! There appear to be two main types: - Sills with lightly engraved etchings (£20 upwards) - Sills with deep, more '3D' engravings (sometimes £80) This set appear to be deeply engraved and cost £44 including delivery http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250846977142?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p398...

Re: Relatively cheap Scirocco accessories for company car?

- Door sills I've eyed up. The HK ones really look as good as the real thing?
- Rubber mats were the other extra I ordered, mainly because they're about all I could afford after tints!
- LEDs: How much do these cost?

Relatively cheap Scirocco accessories for company car?

Hey, my Scirocco 122 in Candy White with tinted windows arrives in three weeks! It's a company car, hence the relatively conservative spec (trust me, I tried!) but I'm very excited! In terms of keeping it smart, so far I've ordered: - Black Richmond 'VW Scirocco' tax disc holder - Skoda Jetti exhaus...
