Thanks for the replies. I agree that last year the prices seemed to be dropping, however them seem to have steadied again. At the end of the day i suppose its only worth what people are willing to pay for it! Reduced to 12k and removing mods.

I put the details into webuyanycar and it quoted 10.7k and wouldn't let it go for that. Im not trying to get more money because of the mods, its purely just me being lazy and not removing them! There is a known fault with you boot springs that pop the boot open. Creeking air vents too! I hate noise!

Check general cabin noise. Some people get annoying rattles from the boot area and dash. I would also check the windows, as some motors have failed and it's expensive to repair! Make sure the windows drop and go back up into the seals. Uneven tyre wear on the inside rear tires was also an issue.

Just tell them it has a remap and they won't flash it..simples!

I am toying with the idea of selling the roc and buying the bmer, before the roc starts losing too much value. I had a test drive and although the styling isn't 'wow', the performance certainly is! The 8 speed auto was amazing! What are people's opinions?

It says the work has been carried out by VW, so should be able to extend warranty with them?

In theory then any other make of tires would invalidate warranty, as its not as the car came from factory. Ill ring them now to declare I have removed the scirocco badge on the back

Can you put 225s on stock 18s? Would there be any major pros or cons in doing so?

I reckon, so as i'm a bit of a fussy bugger! The plastic has been pushed up so it would all need sanding down.

Just taken my car to the local paint shop and they will do a full bumper respray for 160 or 180 if i want the lower diffuser part gloss black. I don't think that's a bad price and they do a good job! Whilst the car is in, im going to get my wheels powder coated.

Pulled out of my drive on Sunday and the guy across the road had parked his car outside my house across my drive (which he never does!)
