Hi guys,

I just bought some Philips H7 12v 55w Xenon effect Blue Vision Ultra bulbs to replace the dipped driving lights to give me some more light in the forth coming winter months. However when I fit them I get a warning light on the dashboard

If I fit them into the high beam slot they work ok and no warning lights on the dash.. have I got the wrong type for the normal dipped headlights?? The 12v 55w seem to line up data wise with the original bulbs and the website recommendation that I bought them from, so I'm confused :?

Is it when both bulbs are fitted or have you tried them individually. Maybe one of them is faulty.

Lamp warning.... not sure but High Beam may not be on the bulb test in the Central Electrics check.

Thanks for the reply, I tried one bulb at a time. The driver side once changed came up with the error on the dash, then I found it wasnt quite seated correctly and it turned slightly more and was then ok. Then changed the offside and it worked :) So I think the driver side turns just a little bit more than the other one.. well thats my excuse ;) All is now working so thanks :) Doesnt seem overly blue but then it is daylight. Do like the VW light grill inside the light thats pretty neat :)

Thanks for your help

I've used the "Philips H7 Blue Vision Bulb (12972-BVD)" without any problems. They're a bit crap though.
