Fitting aluminium foot rests

Hoping for a bit of a "hand dirty man" guy here to help
I don't touch cars at all, never have, but have been thinking to do these myself. I am going to buy them and I've been quote £90 by my garage to fit them. Their body shop reckons they can "possibly" do it for £50. They're unsure if they can def fit them, but say their guys strip cars down all the time.
I know RW is quite clued up, any ideas how to do this?

Haven't done it myself Ryy.
2nd post on the topic. Hardest part if that, is getting the old accelerator pedal off. But as it says in the text, you will have the new pedal to work out how its clipped on. So you will know where to poke the two small screw drivers or similar tools to release the clips, which must be in your workshop.
Here's the VW
tool that is used.

Did this exact job today. It's honestly a 5 min job. The brake pedal cover just clips off, no tools required.
The accelerator pedal I used the proper VW tool, a small screwdriver and 10mm socket are also needed.
The instruction supplied with the pedals are straight forward.
Where in the country are you based?
If you need anymore info just ask.

Agree with the others really is so easy dont pay someone to do it! I'm not mechanically minded either but really is 5 min job. If you're midlands based I'm happy to help too

Ian / Deacon, I'm based in Staffordshire. I see Deacon is too. May even have seen you around as there are so many white Scirocco's it's laughable.
Ian, if you have done it, do you ever get anywhere closer to the Midlands? I don't have any tools, but any socket sets I can nab from my dad if he still has them, which I'm sure he does.

I'm potentially around the Barlaston area later in the week subject to changes in work.
