Scirocco Central

Hi,


I have Scirocco MY09 and production date about 31.10.08
My question is about radio, I can only change volume from steering wheel. I can't change radio stations and songs from wheel. I tried this with displayed AUDIO on MFD display.
Is this normal thing?

Hello 1 6 D, no, that is not right. I also have MY2009 and can change the tracks/volume either from the steering wheel or on the unit itself.

Is it the original stereo ?, has anything been retro fitted

Everything is factory. I have found that numer on module 16 is incorrect, I should have 1K0 953 549 CD but on photo you can see 1K0 953 549 AM. It's weird, steering works like this from buy to now. Half year ago or longer I say then that it's not correct, they check everything and they say it must be like that.

Now I have check AUTOSCAN from VAG and I have read this numer, maybe worker in my VW saloon have swapped it from other car. Module with AM have been never mounted in Scirocco, that says ETKA:


I can suppose that my dealer knew that and he hide this defect to me. But how they swapped it, maybe when retrofitting GRA before the buy.

Have the buttons ever worked

All functions in MFA+ works, only changing songs and radio stations don't work.
How can you read I have other module that I should have, maybe it's because of that. AM module is Highline I and CD module is Highline III.

Changing stations and songs have never worked. Volume changing works fine from beginning.

When you try to change stations i assume your on Radio on the mfd ?, also do post your VCDS results if you have them

Only possibility is swap at dealer I think and they hide this change for all time. It's not possible to fit this AM module in factory, because ETKA say what i write in one post earlier.

You dont have a phone installed do you ?

There is no phone preparation. Tomorrow I will go to dealer and ask how they mount module 16 if it's not for Scirocco. Can I check in factory what parts where mounted in my car? I don't want infos from ETKA, because I know what ETKA say.

I think they may have coded it wrongly ?
