Hello, new to this forum today great find.

I may cancel my DSG Rising blue and get a manual with leather. As part of the launch stock there were some RB's with leather, winter pack and park sensors. Does anyone know if there are any left in stock anywhere?

Thanks.

Really liked the DSG but then I agree that the leather looks mnuch more expensive than the cloth can't decide which to go for, I know I can't afford both options. What do people think?

Leather makes the cabin look much more expensive in my opinion.

Check your PM's on the other side

opinion as always will be divided by dsg, some love, some hate, some admire but its not their bag, if i had to go either or i'd go for the leather, my current car has converted me and i liked the manual box (autocar commented on the dsg option in their review), with all the option ticking it can become an expenive car given the current 200ps output

You have a really difficult choice to make. Personally I would go for leather over DSG. Having seen Merlin cloth today (http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/216501.aspx) which I wasn't impressed with I think each time I got in the car I'd be wishing I had leather where as I don’t think you would miss the DSG as its more or a practical option rather than cosmetic. Also a manual is probably what your used to and many will say a more involved and enjoyable driving experience. But of course it is a very personal choice.

I've always had manual cars in the past but opting for DSG this time (and leather) because I now do many more miles in heavy traffic than I ever did before. I wouldn't have gone for DSG if i didn't sit in traffic on the daily commute. Like most people I was impressed with the speed of the DSG gear change but wouldn't have gone for DSG if it didn't have flappy paddles for quick down changes.

Just my thougts, hope it helps and you get a car your happy with.

Such a difficult decision. I liked the dsg but could just see it going into D. Think the manual will be more involving. Ahh decision! If it just went confirmed at least that would have made the decision!

I was with my dealer this weekend as they ahve just got there next demo in which is a silver one. They should have the red version in the next two weeks.

They told me that virtually all the demos where sent out with the same specs (basic main spec as below)

Blue has manual, leather parking.

Black, dsg, sunroof

Silver, dsg, leather

Red - standard spec.

As such I think you will find any dealer rising blue in the spec you want just a case of finding if one of them wants to sell it.

Also have to say I thought the car looked really good in silver.

Has anyone track a blue one without sat nav? Can find that spec above but they also seem to have nav otherwise its the perfect spec.
