As some of you might know I ordered my 'Roc on the 13th of August last year. My dealer just phoned to say I have a confirmed build week of 7
If all goes to plan ( not with my luck!) I should be collecting on the 1st of March.F@#k me I still don't believe it
Sorry to make a new post but when I calm down I'll put a post in "whats your build date"
Anyone want to buy a lovely low mileage 3 Door MK5 Gti in laser Blue?

I think their biggest issue was sourcing parts for the cuddly toy

crikey, how long, that ages...

VW have have stated you cannot order the cudley toy due to supply issues, however, as is the VW whim they will change this to confuse us on a weekly basis

1st problem couldn't source my choice of cuddly toy I wanted a Panda VW said Teddy only
No seriously folks.. First delay they ran out of Dynaudio and/or RCD510 then it was the pano roof. I probably didn't help myself either,because my build wasn't confirmed I kept adding to my spec . The last change was when Darling changed the VAT so I added leather and winter pack.
So hopefully if all is well and the ship don't sink ,VW don't go bust I'l be collecting beginning of March. Told the dealer to cancel the winter pack as it'll be spring by then lol

Yep you guessed it started off with Sumatra but bottled it and played it safe with the blue. My gti is laser blue and is a very similar colour . Nearly changed it back as lot more Sumatra pics came out and a few people had theres delivered. But by then I didn't want to risk further delays. Happy with my choice though

When you say confirmed, are you sure they don't mean 'provisionally' confirmed? sorry don't mean to scare you and cause a coronary

Just that my roc has an official build date of week 21 ( don't even get me started) but has a provisional date of week 12!

There's been loads of pano roofs and dynaudio delivered though hasn't there? My car with Xenons (also has dynaudio) was only a month or two later than first expected in the end. It sounds like you've gone to the back of the que every time the spec was changed ,(cancelled and re-ordered?), otherwise you should have had the car ages ago.

Could be David but the dealer assured me not. Hopefully my sad saga will soon be coming to an end.........

Well that's good new then, mine's been held up with the Pano roof also... so week 12 could be looking possible yay!
