DSG TDI Juddering

Hi All,

I have had my Scirocco TDI for 2 months now and I have noticed that when the engine is cold and until the full operating temperature, gears 4 and 5 at around a constant 35mph, there is a 'surging' action going on. It can clearly be felt in the cabin and is only apparent at a constant speed, not while accelerating or slowing down. The car feels like I am pressing hard on the accelerator and then taking it off straight away.

I have booked it in however I just wanted to know if there was any advice out there?

Cheers.

My car does this but I have a manual that has been remapped and it only appeared after the remap (or at least that's when I noticed it). I just change down as my revs are just under 1k when it happens anyway. in your case if its not mapped, take it back to VW. It could be a fault with the DSG

Yeah its not remapped but I am thinking of Revo'ing it like my last Golf.

It went into the Garage Wednesday afternoon and it just came out with no faults found, despite 3 cold starts and sending a DISS report to Germany. If it happens again, VW HQ have requested a new mechatronics. It was fine on the drive home so hopefully the software reset that they did on the DSG has done the trick.
