Gutted ! Candy White residuals

My fleet company are gits... I know I have messed them about colour-wise but have always been quoted £106 p/m for Private Use Charge to add to my monthly allowance of £340 (ie total monthly car cost of £446 inc the options listed over there -----> )

Now I've found out that my quote based on same options but with metallic colour would've gone down to £85 a month PUC had I ordered now & not 2 months ago (my original quote of £106 is static for metallic though :( ) AND apparently shite residuals for candy white have pushed the monthly PUC for this to £130 ! :eyepop:

As much as I love candy white I'm asking myself if it's worth an extra £24 quid a month !

If I look at metallic colours then black I considered but is TOO black imo & doesn't contrast with the trim... sumatra is a tad to braaaahn... I'm leaning towards Rising Blue

got to admit i'm really surprised, lets home residuals settle down in next twelve months, think you need to look at a medium/long term i think at the moment

i'll post a shot of what its like covered in crap for you this weekend as the sun did bring out the best in it :)

Cheers fella - that'd be appreciated.... yeah re residuals it's the lease company covering their arses.... I'm signed into a 4 year contract with them with an end of lease price offered but no obligation my side (I can pick up a new car for another 4 years instead.... or take the monthly allowance money from my company)... fleet plan say that solid white cars are a much higher risk to offload at end of lease & therefore they're building in a faster curve-down to take this into consideration & reduce any potential liability from my order. The bastards.

lol PS I bet I'm getting it from the same garage as you :) Newbury Ridgeway ?

I work at IBM in Portsmouth & no idea why my order's been picked up by them when the south coast is littered with Peter Coopers

Gemma @ Ridgeway sounds rather delightful & very helpful though :D If yours was from Ridgeway did you come across her (so to speak lol)

No problem, it was a toss up between the blue and black for me, didnt want a white one although they look nice I wanted a blue one as I have not owned a blue car before. Im glad I made that choice now.

Black doesn’t contrast with the trim, true, but it is still sexy as hell (so i have been told by many who have seen the car... :) ) as for Rising Blue, I do like it, and would have considered it had I not gone for a car already on order, but if you are talking about contrast there isn't much there either.

You want real contrast with the trim? Go for Viper Green, saw it today for the first time (see my other thread) and look AMAZING!!!!

Heh... after arguing the toss with leaseplan they have now come back with a better number as apparently white does have special residuals if it's a Rocc .

It's come down from £130 to £115 p/m but still not as cheap as metallic (any colour) at £106.

I was considering going lairy & viper green (after looking at the most recent pics on here & Robrobs post).. however I've just been outside for a fag & spied in the carpark a flat white MR2 next to a rising blue (or as near as dammit) Golf... seeing them both side to side has made my mind up for rising blue :) White looks lovely pristine but the MR2 showed up every single speck & I just couldn't keep it as clean as it deserves... :)

Besides light on metallic gives it a beautiful hue... my only hope is that rising blue doesn't look too light & girly in the summer.

I know I shouldn't umm & aaaah like this but cars are def. an emotional thing to me... not just a tin box... :)

shooms rising blue is sligthly lighter than the racing blue on r32s (there are a couple by where i park)

those pics were taken in low sun on a winters day so probably as light as it gets, in reality i'm the opposite of you as thing it looks better in the sun

lease company logic is that red will be worst hit

My last car was on leaseplan too! I'm with LloydTSB Autolease this time around and metallic is more expensive which is part of the reason I went for White, if it was cheaper i'd probably have gone for the rising blue.
