It doesn't support Speed cameras (Out of the box anyway). I use a Road Angel for that..
However, you can plot POI's so if someone is very clever they could plot them that way....You would need the original VW map disk, and a piece of software called: POI Inspector. (And of course the cameras locations.)

mine has v6 maps which does show the location f speed and traffic light camera's in place at the time the maps were "constructed" but it's not something that updates as new camera's are installed unless you can get an updated version of the maps and reinstall of course.....

I have the latest maps, and I can't see how to turn this on? I only knew that you could add them as POI's. My map does show speed limits (Though sometimes not right), but not Speed cameras.........

Where most naughty software can be found - out in the "bay".

Please!! This is not naughty software... this is 'safety' software... of course it makes sense to identify locations that are so dangerous they merit the installation of a 'safety' camera. I mean, that must right, mustn't it?

I think by "naughty" it was implied that the software was not "obtained" by legal means...

FYI the speed camera feature does not include audible alerts.
Now if your thinking about installing non factory maps *cough* BMW 2010 Pro *cough* much more recent data than the VW map disc.

Simon
Try this:
Set up
Maps
Car
Speedcamera's
then within the list is 30, 40, 50 ,60 ,70, all others, traffic light.
tick them all and they should be there on the map....

Not that you have added the non factory maps but may know someone who has......I assume it's available from that 'bay' place and is compatible with the VW rns 510
