Whilst still less than a month old, may I first say hello and I'm loving my new Sciriocco.

My first question to those ITK is; as/if and when updates are available for the satnav etc on the RNS510 does anyone know when or how we get them? As the system is loaded for you on a dvd,unlike say, tomtom where updates are available on line as a new download, I assume a new dvd would be needed to be bought from VW

Thanks for that, as mine is a May 2010 built car I assume .....it is most up to date and a quick read of that leads me to believe it is.

When I try to update my rns510 I always get the gateway error. anyone who can help me with this?

Do not have the key in the ignition when updating.

If you mean free from VW then no, you have to pay, prices vary from what i have seen but the last one i saw sold at the dealers was £200 , there are of course ways around this
