Damaged in Transit!

Got a call today from my dealer to tell me that my 'rocco had been damaged in transit and had to be returned to VW to be 'made right'. I'm gutted as I feel that my car is already broken before I've got my hands on it, plus they wont tell me exactly the extent of the damage.
Is this right in your opinion or am I entitled to know what happened?

That's crap man. I wouldn't be happy accepting a new car that had been damaged and repaired.

i know how you feel, mine was broken when i got it, luckily only the coil pack was loose but ruined it a bit, especially as id driven it away. They should tell you what was broken

I would insist on knowing what the damage was, how can you properly agree it's been repaired to your satisfaction otherwise?

you have the right to reject and they re-order, they quoted 16 weeks when they missed my tyre sensors off (great but i'd sold my car), mine wouldn't lend me a car and i knew deep down they would be able to flog it, i haggled for some more money off, think your issue is slightly difference in the way it plays on your mind
