Spacesaver alternative

Hi, I don't like spacesavers as a spare  . So when I had bought my Golf S MK5 which had one, I got my dealer to get me a full size steel spare and tyre as part of the deal. Then I made a false floor for the boot out of ply and timber. This was to accomodate the extra height required for the full size spare. When I sold the car I put the spacesaver back in and removed the floor I made.
Now I have re-shaped this for the ROC and I have been told that the MK5 Golf wheel will fit. Is there any way that I can check codes on the rim to confirm this. The slight reduction in boot depth is not a problem. It also means I have extra space to keep the things I normally carry in the boot under the false floor.

Well the wheel/tyre size is just a 195/65 15 so the overall rolling size of the wheel is the same. Just thought it was a better temp option than a spacesaver

In that case, I don't really understand your question. If the overall circumference is the same and it fits. What else do you actually need to know?
