Underglow wiring

I put HardTunes EL glow kit on my car and it works amazing, today I wired the positive wire to the positive on the footwell light plug so that when I unlock the car it comes on and when I lock the car it turns off but I realised quickly that there isn’t enough voltage to the footwell lights to power the underglow too. Is there anyway around this? I basically want the underglow to come on and stay on when I unlock the car and turn off when I lock the car
