Hi.. so while the car was up on the ramps today I managed to get a nosey around under there .. I noticed on the exhaust there was a small cat like device in the middle then a valve of some description.. what does this valve do as I’m looking to get a exhaust done soon and would like to know it this can be removed along with that cat like device.. obviously I know this is part of the dpf EGR system …

Ill have a look under mine for you as mines got a scorpion on it

and the valve is something to do with creating heat or something like that, its for a dpf regen i read a few weeks ago
