Scirocco Central

Hello, Every few weeks my Scirocco 2011 diesel engine will rev slightly higher (diesel filter self-regeneration i believe). This normal lasts a few hours

However this time it has been on high revs for 3 days and now the engine light has come on.. Any ideas?

Something is obviously not right therefore you need to read the fault codes to point to you in the correct direction. The fact the Engine Light has come on should make it easier to diagnose. It sounds as if it can't complete the regen for whatever reason probably due to a faulty pressure sensor. I would suspect if the DPF were blocked, the DPF light would come on.

For comparison, my DPF does a regeneration every couple of weeks but it only lasts around 10 to 15 mins at most.
