Rear shock absorbers dcc type

Hi All
Is it possible to replace my electronic rear shock absorbers with normal shocks,a disregard the electrics.
Would this cause problems with the car or put warning lights on dash.
I have a 2011 vw scirocco 2l tdi gt
Any one who has tried this or any info would be greatly appreciated.

It's possible but a light will be constantly blinking on the DCC button. There should be no light on the dash as far as I remember.

I just got my rear shocks changed today, and have been researching replacements for the past 3 months. As far as I know, non-DCC shocks will give you a warning light on the dash. DCC delete kits are an option, but they are expensive, and work out more expensive than just buying the DCC ones. My local dealership priced the replacement rear shocks at €416 each, but I ended up finding what I believe to be the same ones on autodoc for approx. €150 each, they are the Monroe C1517L and C1514R. I went for these in the end and they seem to be working perfectly.
Here's the link to them, just be sure you buy one of each and not two of the same one, as they are not interchangeable.

Although these rear shocks are listed by autodoc as NOT the correct fitment, the Monroe parts catalogue states that they are indeed the correct DCC shocks so nice find! Having already replaced my front DCC shocks (via autodoc) is good to know there is a real alternative to the main stealers when the time comes for the rear shock replacement

hi just in the process of replacing both rear shocks on my 2010/60 plate 170 GT Tdi rocco, it has DCC which i would like to keep, just about to order from autodoc and potentially a daft question here but should i also be buying new bump stops & dust covers at the same time, noticed Monroe do the kits on their site too?

To be honest it depends on the condition. If they are all still in good condition and look okay they will be fine however as you have them off anyway and they not too expensive I would purely so everything is new and looks good.
