Rattling noise ?Gearbox?

Hello,
I'm from Belgium (so please excuse me for any grammatical mistakes) and I'm almost 24 years old.
I own my Scirocco for 4 years now. She's born in 2010, and came with a 1.4 tsi (160hp) engine. I bought her at around 100k kms, and at 180k she's still doing well. Only issues I have had, were the comfort module which broke because I installed some cheap LEDs (my own fault ), and changing the turbocharger (wastegate actuator shaft was worn out, which made an annoying rattling sound). The chain hasn't been changed yet, and doesn't make any sounds at all.
Now I have the issue that when I'm driving, there's coming a rattling noise out of the gearbox (I think). When I'm driving, the rattling sound comes up at around 40 km/h, and it keeps on getting noisier when I drive faster. When I releqse the throttle, the sound stops, and the same is when I press the clutch, or put it in neutral (while still rolling). I thought it would be the differential or one of the bearings in the gearbox which have may been worn out.
Has anyone ever experienced the same?
Since I am going to replace the clutch and flywheel next month, maybe it would be better to change or rebuild the gearbox as well?
Thank you for taking your time reading, and maybe responding, to this
