Weird Cruise Control Issue

Hi all,
I have an odd issue with my cruise control, whenever I engage it, my battery warning light, and my right hand indicator dash light both come on, as well as the CC engaged light...
Anyone have any idea what's causing that, and how to sort it? I replaced the battery recently and it's been ever since then, the car sat for a while, and I've checked all my fuses ok... so I'm completely lost now... and have tried searching on here and googling in general to no avail
