Ramair Induction Kit

Hey guys.
I am thinking of buying a Ramair induction kit for my 17' Scirocco 2.0TSI. Pretty sure you guys have heard about it as it is quite a thing for these cars.
Does it have any cons that I should worry about? Like, I've heard the engine might get some flat spots until it kinda gets used to it. Also heard the mpg's might improve. Whenever I need to replace the air filter, should I get it from Ramair?
