Scirocco 09 Sport Mode - Stops shifting up at 3rd

Got a 2.0 TSI GT Scirocco a little while back and absolutely adore it. DSG Service was about 25k miles ago according to service history (purchased the car this year).
Issue that cropped up last week, while in sport mode it gets stuck and won't shift up from gear 3. It will sit at 7000+ revs and I either have to shift it manually (DSG Gearbox, paddle shifts on wheel) or brake/decelerate and it will shift back down. It doesn't get stuck every time, but in the 10 or so times I tried it happened 6 or 7 and I don't want to test it any more. This is only in sports mode, drives completely fine otherwise.

Wanted to see if anyone knows any more and can advise what I should be asking at the garage? My normal garage doesn't do work on DSGs so I'll need to find a new one.
