Hi all,

I'm consious this will likely have been covered many times, but I just can't seem to get definitive information, nor get it working!

I have a 2016 R, which I believe has the MIB2 head unit (standard head unit?). I've seen videos of people simply plugging in their iPhone and the head unit recognising it has CarPlay. Mine isn't doing this, however, as it just states "reading USB device" or something similar.

Does my hed unit indeed support CarPlay? Has anyone got this working previously?

U will need it to be activated. Few companies on Facebook do it cheaper than vw
