On VW site. Including 0Y08 HHC wasn't that the one Autocar had? also the one that was on 5th Gear I think is on there. Sure they have been perfectly run in!

some of those press ones are listed at my local dealer! may have to pop down and see if theyve got a fleet of them!

It says the same when I search though so I guess they call them up from VW? Porsche do the same thing.

oh ok nevermind then, although my dealers demo is up for sale too. they obviously dont keep them long, its was the one i had when mine was broken, i wouldnt buy it, it was thrashed!

Yeh I agree but if someone wants a cheap Scirocco I reckon you could get a good offer accepted on a demo at the moment there are 93 available! Go with cash i reckon you could get my spec for 20 to 21k.

my uncle one got a ex press car 309 gti as his company car, clutch went after 1,000 miles, he did not have a clue until he spotted the reg in autosport where it had been thrashed

Daft question time, how do you know if its been a press car?

I popped back to my dealers today to pick up my rear mats and they told me mine is the only one they have delivered so far (had mine 7 weeks). Their demo plus showroom model are still unsold and they have only 2 factory orders. I think the credit crunch is well and truly biting. Lets just hope VW do not flood the market or drop prices too much to shift stock.

That's quite shocking thought there were a lot of factory orders!

They all seem to registered OY08 and they will have VW as first owner and they seem to have quite low miles which I guess the maangement cars may not?

Oh, and the sales chap also told me they were still under VW instructions to not offer any discount. !!!

Was that with a trade in or cash ?

Trade in which I am sure has something to do with it........ playing with figures I guess.
