MDI Bluetooth Issue

Post by ZebrasKneecaps »

I have bought a MDI Bluetooth cable for connecting my iPhone XR to the stereo, so I can stream media using the Media/Aux setting.

All works fine, however when I take calls, there is no option to listen through the bluetooth connection, so I need to use my phone speaker. Which is pretty annoying as its stopping my music to accept the call on the phone.

Is there some simple setting on the car stereo I am missing? I'd have thought if I can listen to music through the phone, then the calls would be the same.

Cheers

I would imagine it is acting as a media player only hence you have no audio for phone calls. What is the spec and model of the cable you are using? Do you have a link?

Looking at the specs it mentions about using the phones mic for calls. I would think you may have options during a call on the phone to output speaker volume to the bluetooth connection. But I think if you can; it will have to be done every time you get a call. Not ideal in a car as you don't want to be messing with your phone whilst driving.

Unfortunately the option isn't there when getting a call. It is what it is, at least I didn't spend a fortune.

I'd love to have a system with SatNav and Bluetooth built in, like the ones I've seen on here from that Ali Express website, but its a lot of coin for convenience.

Appreciate the help bud, callipers look great in that grey by the way
