Hi
About 6 months (4500-5000 miles) ago my oil light came on.
So I bought some oil checked the dipstick and topped it up.
It has just come back on again.. is that normal?
I do drive it in 'Sport' nearly all the time though.
Just after some opinions thanks.
Regards
Tom

You shouldn't really wait for the light to come on but check your oil level regularly and top it up before the light cones on.
It's not unknown for the 2.0 TSI to use a bit of oil, especially early in it's life.

Oh right ok, its a 2012 plate only done 34k
I didn't check it because it's only been 6 months..
But how often do you think I should check the level?
Cheers for the heads up though!

Personally, I check mine every couple of weeks.

My 61 plate 2.0 tsi with 50k miles has used about 3/4 of a litre in the 6000 miles that I've owned it

Its good practice to check your oil, coolant and brake fluid at least every full tank. Keep so fluids and oil in your car at all times

Had my 2.0 TSI from 38k miles and now approaching 60k. Check my oil around once a month, doesn't often require topping up so only put in maybe 500ml a year (doing around 8k miles a year). And of course, oil change during its annual service.
