Scirocco Central

Wasnt expecting a great deal, coming from the technically superior mk7 golf R, but have been in for a pleasant surprise!, it rides really well in comfort mode (far better than a stock 7R on 18's), and firms up nicely in sport. Thought i would miss the driving modes, but nice to see the DCC also alters the steering. Handling really isnt in the same league as the Golf, and this really isnt a car that begs you to throw it around, but it does respond well when you do. I blame the slow steering, it could definitely benefit from a variable ratio rack. Other observations are that is sounds brilliant, and does this purely from engine/intake and exhaust, without needing any of the fakery in the 7R. Also stock sound system is surprisingly excellent. Overall, super pleased, as suits what I need it for perfectly, but if thrills and chuckability are whats desired, this may not be the car for many!

Thanks for posting buddy. Nice pics too. I'm intrigued by your comments and the handling compared to the G7R....were you MIB1 with standard head unit?

No worries mate, yeah I was mib 1, and the 2 in the Rocco is much nicer, annoyingly though, there's no 'car' screen with mpg etc, that's all on the mfd!

I had problems pressing the wrong button lots on MIB1, it needs an id rive or something similar as the car bounces around (non DCC on 18's) ....dialling the wrong person etc. Hopefully better now in the Roc as could live with the Golf every day.
