Reversing lights

Post by Fangman »

Hi Everyone
I have just bought a 2011 model and i find that the reversing lights are rubbish i would be better with a candle!
has any one have any ideas what to upgrade with?
i have heard that some bulbs confuse the sensors so it tell you that you have a bulb gone??
Thanks in advance

You can improve them by replacing the bulbs with LEDs. To stop the bulb warning caused by the lower current drawn you need Canbus Friendly LEDs, which have a resistor fitted in parallel to fool the diagnostics by increasing the current drawn.

They fit in the exact same as a bulb mate, here's a guide to fitting them, you can see they are about the same size as the halogen bulb

Edit: I just checked the guide and can't remember if I needed the plastic bulb holder, I don't think I did. But if someone could confirm, that would be good :)
