AFS (bend lighting) Fault

Had a 'bulb' warning light come on about five times now, getting an error saying something along the lines of 'AFS fault (bend lighting)' which then disables the AFS? i will try take a picture next time it pops up

Checked all the bulbs and cornering lights and everything works fine, the bend lighting works okay as well until the fault comes on a kills it, happens randomly when the lights are on sometimes after a minute sometimes 30... Been into one VW garage (lincoln) who blamed me for lowering my car and disconnecting the dynamic suspension because apparently this has caused the fault which i find hard to believe?! so am going to try get booked into another garage in the next week or so.

Anyone got any ideas whats causing it?

Did this start happening right after you lowered the car?

The dynamic suspension level sensors are used by the AFS system when a car has both xenons and the dynamic suspension system.

Ive had this exact same error code!! Took it into VW who simple scanned the car  (Could of done that myself) and to be told when it comes on next time to drive straight to VW so they can have a look while the light is on :grumpy: whats the point?

Did take a photo and showed it them and still nothing, going to either have a chat with the service manager or book into a specialist to have a proper look into the wires/sensors.

Let me know if you get to the bottom of it

Fault appeared again for the first time a while tonight, 23:00 on an unlit road and my lights dipped to the floor because of the fault! Literally couldn't see half a meter infront of me! Switched it off and on again to clear the fault and it went straight back to normal :?
