New Tyres - Valve stems too long?

Hi,

The dealer fitted new tyres to my car before delivery. I just noticed that the valve stems they have fitted appear unusually long, they are about 2 inches, and stick out past the outer rim by around 1/2 inch.

This is annoying me, because it looks a bit weird, (now that I can see them flapping about in the rear view mirrors), but I'm also a bit worried that they are a bit vulnerable to being damaged on a curb poking out like this.

Does anyone else think it's a problem, or am I being super pedantic? All four are like this.

cheers,

They do look vulnerable however it will make it easier to check your tyre pressures:-)

I don't intend to crash into the curb, but I do try to park close to it, naturally.
