Hey, hmm Yeah ive gotten a couple mixed responses from people . Some immediately see the ROCO in it and others dont think much of it.

Couldnt upload pics but these links should work and give an idea

Try and get a plate that's personal to your name, initials etc thats what ive always had and not only is it good because its personal to you but it will hide year of car.

For example my Rocco was a 2009 but with plate on and its condition it could have been a 2014 model to joe public

I transfer my plate everytime i get a new car.

Ive literally just purchased a 2011 5 series m sport f10 new shape BUT when my plate is on the car it could pass as less than a year old or spanking new!!! Mine BMW cost £15.5k but 12month old to new are £30k+

well i have a private plate but as somebody just said i think its only worth it when it spells your name properly i.e. mine ends in DAN, when people have to look at it and work out what it says or when its initals i think its not worth it

plus as said ^^ when its your name you can keep it forever and transfer it between every single car you get

Here's mine, as said, get a plate personal to you, not the car. I kinda got the best of both, got my initials in as well as R for Rocco ;)

If I ever get one it will be initials I think, mostly as S11AUN was £36000 when I last saw it. I'll just go with saying if you want it you have it, it's your car & hides its age regardless

Total waste of money IMO. 3 letters that sort of but not really spell the name of your car... Beyond pointless.

Buy something to make it go faster, run smother, last longer, look better or more comfortable/fun instead.

You asked ;)

Is that a pressed plate? Mind sending over the link to where you got it from?

Personally I'm not a fan of private plates and rightly or wrongly when ever I see a car with a private plate I always form an opinion of that driver that is less favorable than it would otherwise be.
That's just me - no offence to those of you that have them but the thread did ask for our opinions

I've got S13 CCO, came with the car. I like it, as mentioned above it hides the age.

Really don't understand why people get so hung up with people knowing the age of their car.

To the OP, if it makes you happy then go for it.

Who cares what other people's opinions are. Only 2 opinions matter in this world, yours and mine:-)

Yeh I tend to agree. Doesn't bother me about hiding the age. Who are you hiding it from? If someone wants to know they will ask even if you have a private plate.

I would get a plate that relates to yourself rather than something that doesn't really look like scirocco.
That way you can keep it for another car .

I'm looking for a plate for my new Rocco but christ alive have they gone up in price since I last Looked in 2009!

Someone told me to look at it as an investment but the thing is if it's personalised to you then a) you're never going to sell it, just transfer it to your next car and b) only people with your initials will buy it...

Really wanted a 5 character one but might have to settle for 6. Only going for £250 on dvla
