My scirocco major update
Hello everyone
I'm not sure if okay but I'm from Danmark and as I'm always on the lookout for new inspiration and ideas to improve my scirocco I was thinking I would share my project with all of you.
My project started roughly 1 year ago and steadily increased to the point where I decided to do a complete R facelift on my car. My car is a 2.0 TDI from 2012 but a 2013 model.
List of parts:
2015 R steering wheel
2015 R front bumper
2015 R rear bumper
2015 speedometer
R side skirts
2015 R boot lid
2015 front LED xenon lights
2015 rear LED lights
2015 R leather seats
2015 R dashboard
2015 R turbo and oil gauge
R-line gear knob
19 ince R alloy wheels
R exhaust
2015 dynaudio set with dynaudio sub
Porsche Cayanne ZR18 front brakes and golf R32 breaks for the back - 345x30mm/288x15mm
Scirocco R doors
Many of you will "what the f*** .. It would be easier to buy a new car"
But I got it crazy cheap and it's more fun to build then buy and the new R will not be sold in Danmark
First I took 2015 the speedo and took it completely apart and removed the needles and the blue lights but also the outer glass to "lower" the dials to a more modern look with a great result.
Second part was the dashboard, BCM and lights but also the bumpers and exhaust. I must say it's really troublesome to code the tail lights to work properly and tomorrow I will give it a new go and se if I can get bit 18 to do as I want.
Next part was the steering wheel and seats because my car is from after 2011 the steering wheels was plug and play and also the easiest part to mount on my car and it a stunning steering wheel
More picture will follow

Re: My scirocco project - faceliftet to a 2015 model
Welcome!!!
Wow that is a great 1st post! That must of been an awful lot of work to turn it into a roc that looks like the facelift.
Looks great mate well done. Definitely not something I would want to take the challenge of doing. I would just go and buy the new facelift if I was to be doing that many changes.
What's the next mod. ? Engine swap? Take out the old 140 and put in the facelift 184? Lol.
How much did all that facelift parts cost if you don't mind me asking.
look forward to seeing more pics.

Re: My scirocco project - faceliftet to a 2015 model
I have always wanted a bigger set of brakes and through one of my contacts in Germany I got a really really good offer from one of his friends in Poland on a completely renovated set of brembo 6 piston calipers from a Porsche Cayanne with new 345x30mm discs + renovated r32 brakes for the back with 288mm new discs including pads and pipes and everything else for 1000€ or 700£
And for the scirocco facelift parts I gave 2500-3000£
First I gave the discs zink spray in the centre of the discs and ten black paint

Impressive project mate!
With lowering springs/coilovers it will look even better.

And I haven't gotten the gauges to function properly yet, as some of you might have noticed, the needles is not moving on one of the pictures only the cloak and the light was working correct in the picture .. But today I made progress, or kind of, now the turbo pressure and oil temp. is working and the clock functions and the is light in the 3 blue needles BUT now the white light in the dials is not functioning now!
Btw YyB I got your PM but I can't reply it yet .. But I "only" changed the housing and the needles .. But when I find somewhere I can get my hands on the dials from a 150hp TDI I will change those to .. I was thinking if you would send me a guide for the front and rear light on a PM .. Because they keep causing trouble and I can't get them to function correctly ?

Thanks for your reply.
For Sciroccos with white clusters you'll need VCP to get everything working without errors. You need to change the EEPROM datas on address 09

Re: My scirocco project - faceliftet to a 2015 model
Any of you guys lowered your car with a H&R 30-35mm springs ? .. Because I have ordered a set of springs and I would like to know the result
And I live on Fyn but work in Århus so it should be no problem if you come to DK
Had someone I know take some pictures of my car today .. And I think it turned out great.
Though it feels like it still needs something but I can't put my finger on it ..
New project

I think I will stick to these wheels .. They fit perfectly with the Porsche brakes, there is 4mm from the caliper to the inside of the wheels and they are also open so you really see them
Yesterday I ordered a set of 35-35mm lowering kit .. So waiting patiently for them to arrive
