Which brand do you recommend for oil for a Scirocco? :)

In all honesty any.5w30 oil that meets VW504.00/507.00 will do the job irrespective of brand.

I tend to use Castrol Edge as it's what the factory uses.

Castrol Edge. Dealership always gives me a top up bottle on my visits. Usually good offers on it at halfrauds too

Also worth checking your local Asda for Castrol Edge as they can can be cheaper than the usual Halfords, ECP and Opie Oils
