Now here comes the wait... been quoted delivery around March / April

Would've loved leather but this is a company car & I don't get the option to renew after 4 years so it would've been a 30 quid a month option with no return - Merlin cloth will have to do & looks nice & sporty (almost Recaro-esque) from the pics on here...

DSG vs manual was a bind but again it was a 20 quid a month extra option... besides... an ST3 remap can whack a manual shift up to 270 bhp (30 more than promised for the DSG)

The car & the options above work out to be an additional cost of 105 per month against my car allowance... but include all road tax / insurance (1200 a year for me on my old car ) / services / MOT / tyres / glass / bodywork etc etc

Congrats on the order! Gonna be a hell of a wait though!

I'm going to try and get to the dealer tomorrow to find out what his current predicted delivery time is.

Just had an online update for the estimated delivery date on my order... now 11th Jan

Dealer is Ridgeway Garages in Newbury if anyone knows them... I don't lol

BTW... I'm owed 3 testies as part of my package before I opt for a car... so even though I know I'm going for the 'Rocco I've also requested a Brera 2.2 & a Z4 M series....

If I time it right they leave em with me for the w/e

shooms, mine is through ridgeway wantage, they have been excellant, every week i get an update and currently a daily one since it has been built and they know i'm desparate for it, they gave an excellant handover on our gti pirelli last weekend and sorted a few minor issues with the manual etc on it with no fuss, i've had my two previous audis from ridgeway and do rate them

I dropped in on the dealer today.
He's quoting 6 months from order to delivery but said I can order now and get it delivered for a particular date. I got a ball park figure on my trade in which is pretty much spot on what I need. I'll wait till the end of the month and put my order in.

not sure what part of Oxfordshire you are in but give Richard at Northfield in Cirencester a ring and tell him Nige suggested talking to him. I got a cracking deal on my car from them, they will haggle

Andy, I would be interested to compare the standard RNS510 with your dynaudio when you get it. I am close to Witney.

PS, saw my first rocco (other than my own) on the A34 Northbound this evening, rising Blue...........looked good. The rear lights are very distinctive when on.

motorworld have a rising blue demo and the vw press fleet is based off junction 10 on the m40 so a lot of press fleet cars appear on the a34

I'm getting on ok with the salesman on Iffley Road. I think half the selling/buying experience is having a good rapport. He's been very helpful and put up with my stalling of the sale as I need to wait till April cos I won't have enough money together to pay for it till then.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has wangled a discount yet though. I might have a little leeway on the px price but I doubt it would be much.

kev, i'll wave as greater leys here, wasn't so much the rapour, the salewoman i dealt with in kidlington was excellant, it was there lack of negotiation which was not her fault and her bosses (given i got a stonking deal on the gti pirelli) it was their lack of allocation (they had 3 this year), IR used to service my GTI and found expereince average, their nail in the coffin was they tried to sell me a new key for a passat which was our pool car at work when the problem was the battery had failed, no room for sentiment in these things

I doubt I'll do the servicing in Iffley but the sales side seems fine to me so far.

kev you'll know my performance benchmark marker then, the test is too underside of the bridge when going to sandford to sainsburys, its a good test, have benchamrked the a3, want to compare the pirelli and scirocco, the pirelli in a straight line i feel will be awesome

Open a window around midnight and you can regularly hear motorbikes and all manner of chav wagons revving like mad along there as well
