Struggling to sell my previous car

Hi all,
I've recently purchased a Scirocco but I'm still stuck with my previous car as I can't seem to sell it......
Where would you advise advertising? I've tried eBay three times with nothing but time wasters, it's been on Gumtree, preloved, used Wolverhampton, loot, and its now in Auto Trader!
I've spent at least £80 in advertising fees and still no joy!
It's a 2l 206cc Allure.
Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.
Stacey

I had exactly the same problem with my old car. Took 4 months for me to sell mine. I would say just keep trying. Put advertisements in local post offices or notice boards. I did that in my local village. Gained some interest. I found gumtree just attracted time wasters who wanted my car for peanuts. Auto trader was ok just the listing fees that killed it for me. How much are you looking for? Have you tried webuyanycar.com? I know they way under value cars but its worth a shot? Apart from that lowering the price more is all you can do really and just keep trying.

have you tried Pistonheads, last two cars i have found slow to sell and agree AT is not cheap, I found buyers are pressing pretty much for trade+ levels of pricing, in reality you are coming into the prime time for a cc

Thanks for the replies!
Strangely enough I think I've sold it!! Someone was very keen to view today while I was at work.....so much so that they had a look around it while it was parked up and locked at home.
Called me to say they want it and will be back tomorrow with the cash! £100 less than what I wanted but I don't want it sat around with tax running out.
Cost £45 to put on Autotrader but it seems to have done the trick! Hopefully!
Webuyanycar was the next step Whitedevil....£600 less than what I've hopefully sold it for though

fingers crossed!
Thanks guys

That's great news. Hope it all goes well. Atleast it's only £100. I ended up having to sell mine for £1000 less than it was worth.

I assume it was something a little more "up market" than a 206cc though

Well it depends what u would class up market. It was a 1.2 Renault Clio. I wouldn't say that's upmarket haha
