DRL help near Preston

Hi folks!

Been trying to sort out my lights on the roc so that the DRL's don't come on and I can use the auto lights as they should be. Took it in to my local stealer who said they were not allowed to turn them off and then took it to a local VW specialist who couldn't find how to turn them off on his VAGCOM laptop.......

I know a few people on here know how to disable them and just wonder if anyone is near Preston and has the kit etc to be able to do it for me with some beer as payment?

Cheers!!!

It's so annoying!!! You get some right funny looks driving round with your headlights on in the glaring sunshine!! :D

Agree!!! would be good if the front fogs could be used as DRGs,... is this possible anyone?

Yes, but its what the blue and legals will think with you driving on fog lamps on a clear day ie. viz is over 100m. H/way Code 226/236.

The beam pattern is different (ie. focused beam which dazzles) to say Skoda DRLs (ie. dispersed bright light) in that position.

yep, fogs on during the day are illegal so might not be the best move!

I wish more people took note of this. Why do people feel the need to drive around all the time with their fog lights on?

We'll probably have to wait for the weather to perk up for a bit, but i should be able to give you a hand getting it sorted. Do you want the DRL's off completely, or do you want to go for side lights as DRL's?
