Hi guys,

My RCD510 is giving me problems but I don't think its down to the head unit. I usually plug my Iphone in and select the Media in option which allows me to play music from my Iphone, but since I have updated my Iphone to IOS 6 it doesn't seem to work any more. It still works via Bluetooth but when I select the Media in option its as if the head unit crashes/freezes.

After many attempts of getting it to work I asked my brother to give me his Iphone so that I could try it and see if that worked as he still has IOS 5 and it worked absolutely fine!

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do I resolve it ASAP!

I have ios 6, no problem here, maybe it´s a special version of the rcd510. I don´t have the Led one.

Ah man.. That rules out the problem being IOS 6. Time to have a little play around again!

Are you using the iPhone MDI connector in the armrest or the Aux In?
If you a re using the MDI try seeing if it will work with a USB stick with the USB connector and then try the iPhone again.
Is you're connector fully pushed home?

I have heard that the iPhone 5 won't have full iPod capabilities via the new smaller multi-pin socket on the bottom and that it may not work with many devices. But I don't think that applies to IO6 itsself.

Im having the same problem at the minute with my ipod, i updated it yesterday got in my car and it says no media device?!
I tried the Aux and nothing happened there too. Im thinking that i need to update my rns 510 headunit for it to work? Anyone managed to sort this problem?
