DPF filter

Hi guys
Has anyone else out there experienced problems with their car when the DPF filter is burning off the particulates, up until recently the only symptoms I had was a higher than normal tick over (about 1000rpm), and it asking for lower gears where it would normally be ok. The last couple of times it's being running very lumpy and not sounding very smooth, on the way home tonight it was quite bad for the first 15mins of driving and then it gradually smoothed out and was completely back to normal by the time I got home after about a 30 minute journey.
Anyone else experiencing similar things with their Rocco.
