Wheels don't fit!

Post by scirocco_madness »

Hi everyone. Bought myself a set of 18 inch turbines today, but they are the wrong size fitment. Really don't wanna get rid of these, so was wondering is it possible to buy some sort of adaptor to make them fit?

Well, apparently they were originally on a beetle And it says on the net stud diameter 100? Don't know if that helps...

Sounds as though you have bought wheels with a PCD of 5 X 100 whereas you need 5 X 112

You can get adaptors but the offset might not allow for the thickness of the spacer

Ye that sounds about right. I know it's a long shot but is there anyway I can get these to fit at all?

Just had a look at the adaptor and it sounds good. But I'm just worried like you said if they dont allow the wheel to fit on after. Do you think it's worth giving it a shot?

It depends on the width and the offset of the wheels you have bought. Both are stamped on the inside of the wheel. Standard Scirocco wheel is 8J wide and has an offset of 41mm.

Only place I've seen them is ebay and some VAG specialists like Awesome, AMD etc...

Just realised that them adapters are £100 for two, so very pricey

Some mistakes can be expensive. Maybe you'll do a little more research in future before jumping in and buying a set of wheels that don't fit your car.
If you don't know, plenty of good people on forums that will advise you.
