the only people who can use your commission number is the dealer and VW customer services. we have no way of tracking your build using them like they do as they use the VW central order system.

COM (& VIN) numbers are personal to your order/car & we do not advise that you give them out to third parties outside of VW (tuning companies are an exception when it comes to encrypted ecu's)

Popped into the dealer today to show the daughter the car.
Meeted and greeted by a salesman i know there and he asked me if i had been given a date to which i replied week 28 and he reckons it would take 4 weeks to build and should be here by august and i replied i was told mid october or should be september for the new reg...Me hopes anyway.

Any thoughts on this

No new brochures in the show room but some of the paint samples have been removed.
To me they seem a little behind in the loop.

Well Simon_T, I ordered mine (For the second time) on June 4th. I was told week 27.

From going though this whole process before, I know it takes around 4 weeks from the build date to actual delivery. So you should probably be expecting September - or at least do what I am doing and hold out until September so you get the new reg!

Week 28? I'd expect it be ready for collection in early sept. Mine is scheduled for wk 29 and dealer is very confident they'll receive delivery before the end of august.

IHMO VW are not the best at keeping dealers in the loop with changes, updated brochures, model changes etc.

is 4 weeks a reasonable guess for delivery?

assuming you are in the UK woz 4 weeks is a safe bet. you should be able to get an idea of what ship is it coming from the factory on & when it arrives in the UK here

Going crackers atm... Start of july is all they will tell me and they can't give a date until it is in stock.

I asume its on the next boat which is this week.

Dont fret! I was the same, just got confirmed to be ready for Friday...

For those still waiting my order went like this:
Ordered: 19th April (Week 16)
Build Week: Week 21
Ready at dealers: 25th June (Week 25)

I ordered around that date. I just want a date of delivery, to put my mind at ease..

Ordered first week in May, build date 17th of July....

At last a blinking build date! Yeee hah.

Might wait two weeks longer to take delivery and get new plate at start of September.

just for info for those of you waiting for delivery, i ordered my 160tsi DSG on 23rd March and took delivery of the car yesterday 23rd June so 3 months to the day

I just got confirmation today, mine is dockside in the UK, awaiting delivery to the dealers early next week. Delivery to me will be the 12th of July apparently! should be a good week, England to win the World Cup, Hamilton/Button 1-2 at Silverstone and the delivery of my Roc! can't be bad!

I think you only have one dead cert......the car lol.

So with any luck I'm keeping my fingers crossed on early September delivery.
